10:1 is the correct answer which is why they travel around in their own private fog bank. If you're new to the breed a few words of caution. Do not turn the petrol off with the engine running. This often results in gripping the top of the spark plug which can result in arrest for the use of obscene language. When holding a conversation with your boating partner above the noise the thing makes, remember that you may barely hear what he is saying, but the lovely lady standing on the jetty half a mile away will hear every word and may not enjoy your views on her anatomy! that said, you won't find a more reliable engine.
