I cant use my start menu?

All of a sudden i can not use the folders on the right side of my start menu; My Documents, My Pictures, My Music, My Computer etc....

I have run Virus scans using Panda Anti-Virus and Spy-ware scans using Ad-Aware. When I click these my toolbar disappears and then comes back but nothing happens, all other functions work ok. The run command is the only one that still works from the start menu.

Bring your computer to technician. For now, you can right click your "Programs" on your start menu and click explore / open to open your programs.

try to repair your window with your XP cd...that will do the work...
